What’s Up This Week in The Bloom – 7.21.22

There are very few things I miss about my life in the city. And now I am happy to say I have one less thing: live comedy. To be fair, I didn’t realize I missed comedy shows until I saw that they were happening regularly at Running Creek Casino. Then I realized I haven’t seen a comedy act in over ten years. David and I were thrilled to make a point to check it out, and I’m so glad we did. So, we’re taking a short break from our camping trip series because Running Creek is hosting the very funny Jimmy Earll this Tuesday, June 26th. We also wanted to tell you about our time last Sunday laughing with the very funny Bob Zany. The man is a master at his craft, and I can not tell you how good it felt to laugh the night away. It’s definitely the place to be this Tuesday. Plus, we’ve got a great deal for you: Mention “THE BLOOM SPECIAL,” and you will get $5 off your tickets at the Players’ Club! Get there early to enjoy dinner and then some laughs. You’ll be glad you did; trust me. The good news is, I no longer miss seeing live comedy! Also, this week we’re excited to share the newest episode of Michelle Scully’s Gathering Podcast, where she interviews District 3 Supervisor Eddie “EJ” Crandell. And, for a change, we’ve got some creative nonfiction by Lila Kihn about the deer whisperer of Anderson Springs. We hope you enjoy! Have a great weekend Lake County.
