This Night: Poetry by Tony Press

Beyond Mt. Diablo
Cold moon: full, boastful, bright
On the surface of the bay
Moonglade, and its shimmery kiss

No halo tonight
No angelic aura
Street unlit, houses dark
Gentle rustles of fauna, flora

Luna above
Water below
In between, the land
Touching, and touched

Touching, and touched
In between, the land
Water below
Luna above

Gentle rustles of fauna, flora
Street unlit, houses dark
No angelic aura
No halo tonight

Moonglade and its shimmery kiss
On the surface of the bay
Cold moon, full, boastful, bright
Beyond Mt. Diablo
