We are currently asking the community to step up and be involved by joining the council. The council is made up of 5 members, a chair, vice chair, secretary and two members at large. If you would like to bring forth your ideas and get involved with our community this would be a perfect opportunity for you to do so.
The Lake County CoC Program is designed to promote communitywide commitment to the goal of ending homelessness; provide grant funding for efforts by nonprofit providers and local governments to quickly rehouse homeless individuals and families while minimizing the trauma and dislocation caused to homeless individuals, families, and communities by homelessness; and promote access to programs to optimize self-sufficiency among individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
Programs for business owners and employees at the State and Federal level continue to evolve, and Lake County residents need the most up-to-date information. Additionally, multiple County residents submitted questions regarding unemployment-related matters that we hope to answer with greater precision during Monday’s meeting. Please join us Monday, for another Town Hall!
On Tuesday evening, 3/31, at 6pm, Dr. Pace will host a Virtual Town Hall Meeting, live on the County of Lake Facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/lakecountycagov/. Public officials will answer your questions and provide valuable updates. Healthcare and other community partners will be invited to participate as well.
Community Action Planning (CAP) will begin with this meeting. Be part of the solution to decide our future. We want and need your ideas. Our Board of Supervisors needs your ideas. Our Planning Commission needs your ideas. The CAP will include Region 3*; Highway 20, and everything from Upper Lake to Clear Lake Oaks. Come and help us, together, make a new Community Action Plan a reality.
