Middletown Luncheon Club Last meeting of 2022

The Middletown Luncheon Club is back with our monthly speaker program following last month’s informative school board candidates forum. Our programs occur 11 months of the year (no meeting in December) and always happen on the third Wednesday of the month. You might want to add a repeating date to your calendar with the Senior Center phone number, 987-3113, so you never miss one.

Our speakers next Wednesday will be two young mothers who have spent the past four years working hard to bring a new charter school to Lake County. Morgan Chinnock and Savannah Mitchell will present what that process looks like, what a charter school is and does, and how Shade Canyon School will inspire life-long learners using a Waldorf-styled curriculum.

Lunch will be served by the Senior Center on Wednesday, November 16, at 12:00 noon at the Middletown Senior Center, 21256 Washington Street. The program will end by 1:00p. For only $5 per person, enjoy Chicken Parmesan, Caesar Salad, Cantaloupe, and Dessert. Everyone is welcome!

Reservations are required and will close when our maximum count is reached. Please call the Senior Center at 987-3113 before 3 pm Tuesday and say that you are with the Middletown Luncheon Club to reserve your spot.

For those of you who are accustomed to making a reservation by replying via email, please note that our process has changed. All reservations should be made via a phone call to the Senior Center at 987-3113. If your plans change and you can’t make it, the Senior Center would appreciate hearing from you. Please add 987-3113 to your contact list to make it easier to make last-minute cancellations.

EXTRA! EXTRA! This year marks the tenth anniversary of the new Middletown Senior Center building!! There are still a few tickets left to celebrate with us on Saturday, November 12, starting at 5:00p. It will be a Mexican fiesta complete with Carnitas and all the fixings for only $25. All proceeds will benefit the Meals on Wheels program. Margaritas, beer, and wine will be available for purchase. Don’t miss the Silent Auction, too! Call 987-3113 or stop by to purchase your ticket/s.
