Lakeport Main Street Association Presents Dickens Fair

The holiday season is always a special time of year!  Families gather, gifts are exchanged, greetings are given, and once again, the Lakeport Main Street Association is proud to present the Dickens Fair and Christmas Market which will be held the Saturday after Thanksgiving in downtown Lakeport

In 2016 the Lakeport Main Street Association was asked to bring back the Dickens Fair to downtown Lakeport and we are pleased that the event has been growing each year since.  LMSA is making plans for the 4th Annual Dickens Fair on Saturday, November 27.  Our aim is that the Dickens Faire becomes a “must-attend event” for not only Lake County residents, but for visitors that seek out our small town as a holiday destination.  We are proud of how this event has grown over the years with the addition of a sledding hill and many activities for young and old.  One can’t forget the excitement of the lighting of the Holiday Tree in Museum Park where dozens were gathered singing holiday favorites and awaiting the countdown to light it up.

In 2021 we are looking forward to bringing you a Dickens Fair that has lots of activities for “Kids” of all ages.  We will have the sledding hill, cookie decorating, kids crafts, kids games, a snow globe for cute family pictures, a Pet Parade, Costume Contest, an Ugly Sweater Contest, strolling carolers, craft vendors, food vendors, beverages for sale, dance performances, donut walk,  photos with Santa, and music all day!!  Don’t forget, the Tree Lighting will take place at 5:30 with none other than Santa himself!!  There will be plenty of shopping available with our vendors and downtown businesses.

We’re sure that Charles Dickens would have never imagined what we would be doing in his name long after he wrote A Christmas Carol.  If he were alive today, we’re sure he would attend the 2021 Dickens Fair and Christmas Market in Downtown Lakeport on November 27, 11am-5:30 pm.  We hope you will too!
