Welcome to the Lake County Time Machine. Each week we share historical articles from some of Lake County’s older newspapers. It’s a chance to step back in time and get a feel of what life was like in Lake County one hundred years (or more) ago. If you enjoy these, head over to the library, where you can enter the time machine yourself.

The Lake County Library provides these historical articles from the library’s collection of microfilmed newspapers.
The list of titles is on the library website at http://www.lakecountyca.gov/Assets/Departments/Library/Documents/Newspapers.pdf.
The public is welcome to use the library’s microfilm reader-printer. The Lake County Library does provide scanned copies of newspaper articles and obituaries to researchers. Contact the library for details at 707-263-8817 ext. 17106.
