Lake County Music Guide 6.2.21

Today it was hot enough to fry eggs on my chest. I realize the older I get the harder it is to take this kind of heat. Just because Summer and HOT go hand in hand in Lake County, I still long for those balmy days of early Spring and Fall. The good news is that it should cool down to the mid nineties for the rest of the week and through the weekend. And it isn’t Summer for three more weeks. I hope they don’t run out of beer. Here’s the live music guide for the week of 6/2 through 6/8.

The Smiling Dogs Ranch in Kelseyville will feature the harmonica wizardry and tight Blues stylings of Dave Broida and Blues Farm on Wednesday from 5:30 to 8:30. This is a casual poolside affair with enough dancing space to shake your booties, which you’re gonna wanna do… There’s a cover charge of $10, wine will be sold by the glass or the bottle, and it’s recommended you bring a chair, a picnic, beverages, (no glass bottles) and/or else something to share. It’ll be fun times alongside a beautiful vineyard listening to DB&BF.

On Thursday at The Saw Shop Public House come on by for the music of Tony Neves. Tony sat in with my band, Dr. Groove, on Saturday and he brought the house down. He’s a pretty good singer. The SSPH is a pretty good restaurant. Thursday is a pretty good day. Reservations are recommended…

Please support your local farmers and artists.

I know when you’ve gone out to see our local live music lately that it seems like the pandemic is finally over – lotsa folks not wearing masks, dancing, forming mosh pits, etc – but please folks, bring a mask and practice social distancing if and wherever you go this weekend – June 15th is when the maskless partying begins. And when you do go out to support our local bands, have fun, but please be safe…
