On Tuesday, the new official first day of the week, the Kelsey Creek Brewing in K’ville takes the banner to the forefront by presenting Buskin’ for Brewskis, (Danny Prather, Mike Guarniero and valued guests), along with a menu of handcrafted beers, ales and seltzers – all with funny names – from 3 to 6:00. Here’s a little-known factoid – Thanksgiving menus have changed much over the decades since the first Thanksgiving, but from the first, beer has always been a constant. Come start the Thanksgiving weekend with a brew…

Actually, the “first Thanksgiving meal wasn’t anything like today’s traditional meal. It included venison, sea bass, cod, clams, lobster, eel, mussels, ground nuts, squashes, beans, beer and berries”. I could go for that!…

On Saturday evening the Riviera Hills Lounge in the Riviera will feature the movin’ Blues music of Dave Broida and Blues Farm from 6 to 10:00. Always a good time when these guys play. Mike Guarniero

Mike has been playing professionally, both acoustic and electric, for 40+ years. He paid his dues in a robust Sonoma County music scene during the '80s and '90s, then DJ'd for 10 years after moving to Lake County in 1996.
