It’s Halloween weekend and there are some live music events happening in the County. Here’s another mini-music guide for the last weekend of October/first weekend of November. Please let me know if I’ve omitted anything. Please bear in mind, masks and social distancing is required at all live music events.
The Saw Shop Public House in Kelseyville will present for your dining pleasure, Austin and Owens on Thursday evening out on the patio from 5 to 8:00. This amazing acoustic guitar duo has been blowing everybody away The LC for several years now. If you’ve never seen them, you owe it to yourselves to make reservations and check ‘em out. Reservations are highly suggested…
The Catfish Coffee House in Clearlake and Chris Grant will host a Halloween Party and Open Mic Thursday evening starting at 7:00.
Speaking of Chris Grant – The Spot in Clearlake will be bringing to an end their reign as the best music spot, (no pun intended…) in Clearlake with Chris and Friends Friday evening from 5 to 9:00, (I might be wrong about the time so please call). The new owners, (Lyndalls) will be taking over November 1st, closing down to remodel the joint and there are big plans, including possibly lots of live music.
The Greenview Restaurant in Hidden Valley Lake will feature the acoustic music of Carlos Garay on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings from 5 to 8:00 outside on the patio. Pretty darn good menu at The Greenview, along with a full bar and the strumming magic of Carlos… Hey! – What’s stoppin’ ya?! Dress warm…
The Blue Wing Saloon in Upper Lake will feature the music of Majide on Friday evening from 5 to 8:00. On Saturday evening Steve Smith will be playing for their special Halloween Supper from 5 to 8:00. For Sunday Brunch expect The Wetzel Trio to be offering up the tunes from 11 to 2:30. Sunday Supper will feature Chris Forshay from 5 to 8:00. Monday Blues will feature the 12 bar fun from Steve Dubois and Friends from 5 to 8:00. Dress warm, all events are outside. For any and all of these music events, reservations are strongly encouraged…
The Farmer’s Finest Farmers Market will feature the best locally grown fruit and vegetables on Saturday morning from 10 AM to 1:00, along with the music of Jude, Camm, and Slade. This all takes place at the Floriculture Bldg in the Lake County Fairgrounds in Lakeport. Not a bad time to stock up on your Autumn produce favorites.
On Sunday the Eli Stage Stop on Soda Bay Rd is presenting another 1st Sunday Fiddlers Jam from noon until 2:00. Without a doubt the best place to stomp your feet Bluegrass style.
Break out an old Halloween costume and get into the festivities happening this weekend. And if you plan on getting out to see some live music this weekend, please remember, masks and social distancing are required at all of these establishments. So have fun, be safe, and don’t forget to vote on Tuesday if you haven’t already done so…
