Sorry, Folks, it’s gonna be a mini-mini-mini music guide for this upcoming weekend. But there are still a few establishments that understand the need for live music in the County. Please bear in mind, masks and social distancing is required at all live music events.

The Saw Shop Public House in Kelseyville will present for your dining pleasure The Hip Replacements on Thursday evening out on the patio from 5 to 8:00. I’ve also been told the menu is excellent – so have a meal, check out The Two Diamonds and let me know what you find. Reservations are highly suggested…

The Greenview Restaurant in Hidden Valley Lake will feature the acoustic music of Carlos Garay on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings from 5 to 8:00 outside on the patio. Pretty darn good menu at The Greenview, along with a full bar and the strumming magic of Carlos… Hey! – What’s stoppin’ ya?! Dress warm…

The Blue Wing Saloon in Upper Lake will feature the music of Majide on Friday evening from 5 to 8:00. On Saturday evening Chris Forshay will be playing for your dining pleasure from 5 to 8:00. For Sunday Brunch expect Twining Time to be offering up the tunes from 11 to 2:30. Sunday Supper will feature Hillarie Wilt and Jim Williams from 5 to 8:00. Monday Blues will feature the 12 bar fun from Clean Sweep from 5 to 8:00. Dress warm, all events are outside.

For any and all of these music events, reservations are strongly encouraged…

The Farmer’s Finest Farmers Market will feature the best locally grown fruit and vegetables on Saturday morning from 10 AM to 1:00, along with the music of The Bridge Band. This all takes place at the Floriculture Bldg in the Lake County Fairgrounds in Lakeport. Might find some locally grown Halloween Pumpkins – time to stock up, Folks…

As we get closer to the time to change the time, it’s seriously getting to be that time to put another blanket on the bed. Getting chilly out there at night…

If you plan on getting out to see some live music this weekend, please remember, masks and social distancing are required at all of these establishments. So, have fun and be safe.

Article by Mike Guarniero

Mike has been playing professionally, both acoustic and electric, for 40+ years. He paid his dues in a robust Sonoma County music scene during the '80s and '90s, then DJ'd for 10 years after moving to Lake County in 1996. After retiring from his job of 26 years, because he recognized a growing local music scene, he decided to devote his time to playing live music again. He's never looked back. Along with his regular band, Dr. Groove, he has filled in on lead guitar for local bands, (Fargo Bros, Blues Farm, C.A.M. Band, Borrowed Time, Time Travelers). He's played acoustic guitar at a some of our local wineries, restaurants, farmers Markets and art galleries. He's also a semi-regular supporting various local Open Mics around Lake County. He writes and records original songs and has recorded original demos for other performers as well. For the last three years, he has posted on Facebook a local music guide called the Lake County Music Guide.
