The Lake County Democratic Party has rescheduled the time for a conversation with Congressman John Garamendi on August 19. It will now begin at 5:00 pm to accommodate the Congressman’s responsibilities with the Democratic National Convention.
Garamendi has served in Congress since 2009. He represents the 3rd Congressional District, which spans from Antioch to Orland, and encompasses the Clearlake area of Lake County.
Congressman Garamendi sits on two of the most dynamic and productive committees in Congress: The House Armed Services Committee, which has the annual task of completing a massive authorization bill that sets policy for our armed forces; and the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, which sets policy and funding priorities for our nation’s transportation systems. His experience is broad, having previously served on three other committees: Science, Space, and Technology, Natural Resources, and Agriculture. Garamendi’s accomplishments include providing solutions for and services to veterans, farmers, armed services members, and disaster victims. His dedication to climate and environmental issues are evident in his legislative work.
