Fueling Support for Armed Services

The hottest cars, trucks, military vehicles and vintage RVs will gather in downtown Lakeport after a year’s absence as the Old Time Machines for Operation Tango Mike car show returns with a new name on Saturday, August 14, surrounding Library Park. The annual car show skipped last year due to Covid but this year comes back to Library Park in Lakeport. There will be plenty of eye candy as registrations are coming in from all over the west coast with great cars, trucks, bikes and vintage RVs.

There will also be more food this year with A Smoothie Sensation and Our Tiny Diner back by popular demand plus Crazy Quilt Farms will debut their new coffee cart and the Saw Shop’s food truck will be there as well. Of course, the Early Lake Lions will be pouring beer from O’Meara Brothers Brewery, another popular stop for visitors.

The trophies and awards this year are also different being created by local artisans, many from car parts or other relevant pieces.

You will be able to tune in to music and announcements right from your FM radio as these are being broadcast on FM 88.7 during the event.

In the past the Lakeside Car Show has been a huge fundraiser for Operation Tango Mike. This year’s show will absolutely make every effort to respect social distancing and being courteous of others by wearing masks. In fact, there will even be an award for best mask given along with awards for vehicles, furthest traveled, best club participation, and more.

Anybody who loves a good time, beautiful rides, and supporting our military is invited to come to Library Park on Saturday, August 14, and enjoy the show. There is no cover charge.

More information, as well as vehicle registration, can be found at www.curbside.tv/lakeboatshow. A photo recap of the show, complete list of sponsors and their contact information, and a video reel is available at www.curbside.tv/lakeboatshow
