I originally moved to Lakeport in 2004 but I’ve currently lived in Lakeport since 2012. I spend my time here running, painting, sculpting, and working my day job as a caregiver. People who know me in the community also know me for being an avid collector of books. It was a joy to write this poem for the contest and I’m very grateful to have won second place! The farmers’ market has a special place in my heart (and stomach), and I hope this year is the most bountiful yet!
