“Dine Out with Hospice” Supports Local Restaurants

Dining out at a favorite restaurant can also support your Hospice care provider. The 5th Annual Dine Out with Hospice returns to Lake County on Thursday, Sept. 30. Dine Out with Hospice is a local tradition that brings local restaurants and community members together to support Hospice Services of Lake County.

“This year in recognition of the tremendous past support of local restaurants, we are encouraging our community to patronize our local restaurants either by dining in, dining outside or taking out meals,” said Executive Director Cindy Sobel. Customers may dine at one of 22 participating restaurants during normal business hours with the option of contributing to Hospice Services at the restaurant.

In past years, restaurants have been incredibly supportive of this fund/friend raiser and Renee’s Café, Reds Sky Room and Park Place have donated up to 50% of their sales.

“This year we want to see restaurants full and keep all of their sales, recognizing that COVID restrictions have been challenging for small business,” said Sobel.

A donation jar will be located at each restaurant for your contributions to Hospice Services of Lake County. All proceeds from the event will support the Wings of Hope Bereavement program and special needs of local Hospice patients.

“We look forward to friends and families gathering together in support of a worthwhile cause while they enjoy a meal at one of our many great Lake County restaurants,” Sobel added.

Generous sponsorships from community partners, including Sterling Mortgage, Lake Pharmacy, Lake County Chamber of Commerce, and the Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce, are allowing this event to happen.

Participating restaurants will include Arti’s Café, Cowpoke Café, Gaslight Grill, Greenview Room, Jimmy’s Deli, Judy’s Junction, Juicy’s Pizza, Main St. Bar and Grill, Marcel’s French Bakery, O’Meara Bros. Brewing Company, Park Place, Perry’s Deli, Red’s Sky Room, Renee’s Café, Saw Shop Public House, and Woody’s Cafegrill and Pub.
