The City of Lakeport is grateful to volunteers of all ages who worked hard and helped collect over one thousand pounds of trash and debris from Lakeport’s shoreline on Saturday, June 19. Some volunteers focused on the area between Library Park and the site of the new Lakefront Park on North Main Street. Another group led by City Councilmember Michael Froio tackled the shoreline along Lakeshore Boulevard. Volunteers also cleaned the shoreline in the areas of Lucerne Harbor Park and Redbud Park in the City of Clearlake.
The clean-up event was coordinated by the AmeriCorps Civic Spark Fellows in the Lake County Water Resources Department, Lake County Special Districts, and the Lakeport Public Works Department. Thank you to everyone who participated to keep Lake County beautiful!
