Lake County Music Guide – 11.22.22

Let’s start by debunking a myth – turkey does not make you tired! Chances are what makes you so tired is the enormous amount of carbs you ingest on that day. Okay, with that said, Thursday is Thanksgiving Day, a day where gluttony is acceptable. Got it? Here’s the live music guide for the week of 11/22 through 11/28…

Lake County Music Guide – 11.15.22

Just before the start of the last weekend, I caught a cold – my first in 5 years. So, I immediately set out to prepare my usual cure; homemade and hardy chicken broth with lots of garlic and habaneros. The idea was to burn it all out of me, and this certainly did the trick. But just for good measure, the next day, I bought a super spicy burrito at the local market, then chowed down on that. But later that evening, I started farting so much that I set off all my Co2 detectors. I’m thinking maybe I over did it… Speaking of gas, next week we’ll be celebrating Thanksgiving, a day of overindulgence and, you got it, farting and burping. Um…, maybe I should get off this theme. Sorry, I have no idea what got into me… oh yeah…, habaneros and burritos!… Here’s the live and windy music guide for the week of 11/15 through 11/21…

The Lake County Music Guide – 11.08.22

Lake County, I truly believe that dogs love a good drought. Normally all I need to do is look at the front door, and my dog instantly jumps into action, racing to the door, eagerly waiting for me to open it and let him out. But he seems to have a sixth sense when it comes to rainy weather – he shows absolutely no interest in leaving the comforts of his dry and warm bed, even when his eyes are turning so yellow you just know he has to go out to do his business. But I guess I’ll just have to wait until it stops raining. So I can pick him up and carry him outside. SHEESH!… Here’s the live music schedule for the week of 11/8 through 11/14…

Lake County Music Guide – 11.01.22

There’s an old saw, (cliché), which is often said when you’re about to enter a small town – “If you blink, you’ll miss it”… I’m not really sure how this can apply to this week’s music guide, but I think you’ll get the connection… As I have said many times during the 6+ years I’ve been writing up the music guide, sometime after the start of the Autumn season, our local live music scene significantly slows down, mostly due to cooler weather making outdoor events less comfortable. What’s most important, though, is that the next 4-5 months are when our venues that provide live music need you the most. Even something as simple as popping in for a meal or a drink every so often is greatly appreciated. I’m sure we all remember the great music establishments that shut down due to the pandemic. Just because live music is over for the next few months doesn’t mean these businesses are. Please support our local businesses. Thank you. Here’s the live music schedule for the week of 11/1 through 11/7…

Lake County Music Guide – 5.12.22

This week’s activities should run the gamut between Shredding and a Car Show, with lots of live music events scrunched up in between. With Friday, Saturday and Sunday predicting good weather, the outdoor events are stacking up, while the indoor ones are gonna be just as busy. Enough prattle – here’s the live music schedule for the week of May 12th through May 16th…
