California Retired Teachers Association (CalRTA) Announces Luncheon Meeting and Silent Auction

Joyce Anderson, President of Lake County Division 35 of the California Retired Teachers Association (CalRTA), announced that the organization’s quarterly meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021.  This luncheon meeting will be at the Saw Shop Public House, 3825 Main Street, Kelseyville, CA 95451

Registration begins at 9:30 AM. The business meeting will be called to order at 10:00 AM. Current members are encouraged to bring a potential new member.

At the conclusion of the business meeting, a silent auction will be held to support the Division’s scholarship program.  Attendees are requested to bring items for the auction.  Each year the Division provides scholarships to individuals pursuing a career in education in Lake County.

During the auction, music will be provided by Robert and Laisne Hamilton.

Lunch will be served at 11:45. Menu choices are Braised Beef Tips and Root Vegetables over Mashed Potatoes with a salad or Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad.  The cost for lunch is $20.

Please call Gail at 707-278-0233 by November 4 to make a reservation. All CalRTA members are invited to attend as well as recently retired teachers, family members or other interested individuals.  This is an opportunity to learn how the California Retired Teachers Association is working to protect the retirement and pensions of California teachers and advocate for legislation to improve education in California.  In addition, the Lake County Division 35 provides scholarships to students, grants to local teachers, and supports education in Lake County in numerous other ways.
